ISSFT students playing basketball

Basketball at ISSFT

Overview

Suitable for players of all levels, students develop their tactical skills in a fun and competitive environment.

Our Basketball elective covers all aspects of the game, focusing on developing both your offensive and defensive skills. From honing your shooting accuracy to mastering ball control and passing techniques, we will cover all the technical skills needed to excel on the court. We also delve into the strategic side of basketball, exploring different formations and defensive positions to help you understand the game from a tactical perspective.

But it's not just about individual skills. We strongly believe in the power of teamwork and the values it instills. Throughout the course, we'll emphasize the importance of respect, discipline, and cooperation, fostering an environment where you can develop strong collaborative skills. Additionally, we will nurture your competitiveness and instill a winning mindset, pushing you to always give your best and strive for success. And if you're interested in taking your basketball journey further, we'll even teach you some coaching skills along the way. Are you ready to take your basketball game to the next level?

  • Developing an offensive style of play
  • Understanding defensive positions and formations
  • Technical skills – passing, receiving, ball control and shooting
  • Physical strength and power, endurance, speed and agility
To be the best, you have to work the hardest. You have to chase what seems impossible over and over and over again, because giving up is not an option, and when you feel like you've reached your limit, it's only the beginning, that's when it's time to dig deep, to find the courage to push some more.
