Preparing for IB Diploma

It is no secret that all of us at the International Summer School for Teens are great fans of the International Baccalaureate curriculum.

The IB is a great way of preparing young people for their future careers as well as the wider world around them. IB students benefit from a global outlook and gain practical skills as well as an in-depth knowledge of their chosen subjects.

As our world becomes more complex, educators and policymakers are realising its importance and the curriculum is now widely adopted by both private and state schools. Our Study Skills class is designed to help prepare students for the workload and intense level of study that they can expect in the IB Diploma after the summer.

If you are thinking about enrolling in the IB, here are a few tips to help:

  • Think about what classes you want to take
  • What are the requirements of your chosen classes?
  • Manage your time and plan how will you complete your coursework
  • Think outside the box. The IB embraces creativity so don’t be afraid to try new things
  • Think about ideas for CAS and Extended Essay early
